Easy to take

Because they are convenient, discreet and easy to take, orally disintegrating tablets (ODTs) are popular with patients and physicians. Taste-masking and flavoring options make taking an ODT such as DuraSolv a pleasant experience. An ODT can help you win patient preference for your product.

Placed in the mouth, an ODT disintegrates rapidly without chewing. As the tablet disintegrates, drug microparticles are released and swallowed as a slurry or suspension. Complete dissolution and systemic absorption occurs in the GI tract. Typically, the ODT’s pharmacokinetics are matched to the reference product.

DuraSolv technology produces a highly durable ODT that allows for packaging flexibility.

A highly durable ODT

DuraSolv technology produces a durable ODT that combines taste-masked active drug ingredients with or without a low effervescence system. Because DuraSolv tablets are compressed to a greater hardness of 15 – 100 N, they can be bottled or blister-packaged.

DuraSolv technology is compatible with CIMA taste-masking expertise and PakSolv® proprietary packaging. Proprietary packaging technology results in a container closure system that protects tablets from light, moisture and breakage.
